Eidur Gudjohnsen signs for Chinese club Shijiazhuang Ever Bright

Former Chelsea striker Eidur Gudjohnsen signs for Chinese side Shijiazhuang Ever Bright after his Bolton Wanderers contract expired.

Former Chelsea and Barcelona striker Eidur Gudjohnsen has signed for Chinese Super League side Shijiazhuang Ever Bright.

Icelandic Gudjohnsen, 36, played for Bolton Wanderers last season and scored five league goals in 21 appearances.

Ever Bright are currently in eighth place in their first season in the league.

Gudjohnsen has also played for Monaco, Stoke, Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur.

Premier League players Demba Ba and Paulinho have recently signed for Shanghai Shenhua and Guangzhou Evergrande respectively.
