Owen Coyle insists that Kevin Davies is still a part of Bolton's plans.

Owen Coyle has said that Bolton Wanderers striker Kevin Davies is still a big part of the club's plans moving forward.

Davies, who has been out of the starting lineup at the Reebok Stadium since mid-December, has been linked with a move to a number of clubs, including Sunderland, Wolves and West Bromwich Albion.

However, the Scot insists that he has had no offers for the forward so far.

"I've spoken to Kevin and he knows he's a part of this club and we want him to stay here," he said. "Kevin will be the first to tell you he could have played better earlier in the season.

"If he'd played to the level he is capable of then he wouldn't have been out of the team - it's very simple. But he's shown in the last couple of weeks he's up for the fight and for me that's what I wanted to see.

"I want players with a point to prove, ones who want to be at the club. There's a lot of talk but the bottom line is I've not had an offer."

Bolton are currently one point outside the relegation places after beating Liverpool 3-1 last Saturday.
