Jose Miguel Cubero leaves Blackpool

Blackpool announce that Jose Miguel Cubero has left Bloomfield Road in order to return to former club Herediano in Costa Rica.

Blackpool have announced that Jose Miguel Cubero has left the club in order to return to Costa Rica.

The 28-year-old midfielder will return to former club Herediano in his home country having been granted permission to discuss a move last week.

Cubero initially played for Herediano between 2006 and 2014, when he joined Blackpool for an undisclosed fee.

He has now made the switch back, however, having played just 23 times for the Seasiders.

Cubero was a member of Costa Rica's side in the 2014 World Cup, featuring in four matches for his country as they surpassed expectations by qualifying from a group that also included England, Italy and Uruguay.
