Blackpool caretaker manager Barry Ferguson believes that striker David Goodwillie will benefit from a new challenge at Bloomfield Road.
Goodwillie has moved to the Seasiders from Blackburn Rovers on a loan deal until the end of the season, and Ferguson is delighted to have been given permission to strengthen his squad.
The 35-year-old told the Daily Record: "I'm delighted that the chairman has given me the go-ahead to bring in a couple of players and obviously I'm delighted to have David Goodwillie on board.
"David feels like a new challenge after a difficult couple of years in his career and I'm sure that he'll get that at Blackpool, no matter who is the manager going forward."
Goodwillie has spent the first half of the campaign with Dundee United, scoring three goals in 19 appearances.
