Preview: Blackpool vs. Queens Park Rangers

Sports Mole previews Saturday's Championship clash between playoff-chasing Blackpool and title-chasing QPR.

Queens Park Rangers could move top of the Championship table with a win away to playoff-chasing Blackpool on Saturday.

The Hoops are currently joint-top of the table with Burnley, who face a tricky away trip to take on third-placed Leicester City in the day's early kickoff.

Harry Redknapp's side go into the match in decent form having lost just one of their last seven games, although they have only managed three wins in that spell, dropping nine points overall.

If they are to end the day on top of the league then QPR will have to improve their poor recent record away from home, where they have picked up just three points from the last 15 available.

Niko Kranjcar will be pushing for a start for the visitors, but Alejandro Faurlin, Julio Cesar and Bobby Zamora are not expected to feature.

Blackpool, meanwhile, will need to curb their ill-discipline in the match having received a whopping five red cards and six yellows in their last two outings.

Paul Ince's side have won just one of their last five matches to slip out of the playoff positions, although they are still level on points with fifth-placed Nottingham Forest and sixth-placed Reading.

The Tangerines are in good form at Bloomfield Road having lost just once there this season. Stretching back to the last campaign, Blackpool are unbeaten in 13 of their last 14 games at home.

However, with Ricardo Fuller, Angel, Gary Mackenzie and Neal Bishop all absent through suspension, Ince is short of options and will be fearing the worst when Rangers come to town.
