Kevin Phillips saved Blackpool's blushes by converting a late penalty to earn a replay against League One side Sheffield Wednesday this afternoon.
Clinton Morrisson had put the visitors ahead seven minutes after half time by lobbing from just outside the area.
Throughout the tie the Tangerines failed to really test Steven Bywater in the Wednesday goal, misfiring with many attempts despite controlling possession.
Veteran forward Phillips started for the home side but his usual clinical finishing was awry. He wasted a good chance from inside the area before Morrisson netted his first goal in three-and-a-half months.
However, he made amends from the spot by finding the top corner after Gary Taylor-Fletcher was hauled down by Danny Batth.
Both sides will be in the draw for the fifth round, which takes place at around 3.40pm tomorrow.
