Premier League clubs are chasing the signature of Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Paul Robinson.
According to reports, the 33-year-old is to leave Ewood Park in January after losing his place to youngster Jake Kean.
The former England international has been linked with a number of top-flight sides, but Southampton are believed to be the favourites to sign the shot-stopper.
Saints boss Nigel Adkins is hoping to bring the former Tottenham Hotspur man to the club in a bid to ease his goalkeeping problems.
West Ham United, West Bromwich Albion and Fulham are also thought to be keen on the veteran, although it is unclear as to which club Robinson would prefer to join.
Robinson joined Rovers from Spurs in 2008.
