Gary Bowyer reassures Alan Judge over Blackburn Rovers future

Manager Gary Bowyer says that Alan Judge could still have a future at Blackburn Rovers, despite his recent loan move to Brentford.

Blackburn Rovers manager Gary Bowyer has insisted that Alan Judge could still have a future at the club.

The winger started his second stint at Ewood Park at the start of the season, but up until Christmas, he made just seven starts for the Championship side.

That resulted in Bowyer allowing the 25-year-old to join Brentford on a loan basis in January and he will remain at Griffin Park until the end of the campaign.

However, Bowyer has refused to rule out the possibility of Judge having an impact with Blackburn next year.

"We know he cares about our club a lot, which is why we brought him back. Towards the beginning of the season he was in the team, but then found himself out of it," he told the Fulham Chronicle. "He loves playing football and has a fantastic attitude. He came to see me and said, 'I want to play games'. I couldn't guarantee him that.

"Brentford are a good football club with good people and are going the right way. We thought it was a good deal for everyone involved. I hope Brentford go up. The door isn't closed. He signed a three-year contract with us, so we'll see what happens. We anticipate him coming back at the end of the season."

Judge has scored three goals in 14 outings for Brentford.
