Blackburn boss Gary Bowyer praises DJ Campbell following the club's friendly win over Preston North End.

Blackburn Rovers manager Gary Bowyer has praised DJ Campbell following Tuesday's friendly win over Preston North End.

The striker scored during the 1-1 draw at Deepdale before going off at half time with an ankle knock.

"I thought he looked sharp again," Sky Sports News quotes Bowyer as saying. "He took his goal ever so well and he's showing people what he can do."

Campbell joined Rovers on a two-year deal from Queens Park Rangers earlier this month.
