Half-Time Report: Blackburn Rovers, Sheffield Wednesday all square

Blackburn and Sheffield Wednesday cancel each other out in what proved an uneventful opening 45 minutes at Ewood Park this afternoon.

Blackburn Rovers and Sheffield Wednesday have cancelled each other out throughout the opening 45 minutes at Ewood Park this afternoon.

Rovers hitman Jordan Rhodes, who provided the winner in the 1-0 win over Yeovil Town at the weekend, came closest to opening the scoring but Chris Kirkland denied the former Huddersfield talisman.

It proved as close as either side would come to taking a first-half lead as both managers settle for a share of the spoils at the interval.
