Blackburn Rovers lead Leicester City 1-0 at half-time thanks to a Nuno Gomes goal.

Blackburn Rovers have taken a 1-0 lead into half-time of their Championship fixture against Leicester City this afternoon.

Both sides struggled to create chances in the the opening half-hour, but the deadlock was broken with the first goalscoring opportunity of the game.

Jason Lowe's ball found Nuno Gomes, and the former Portugal international fired his shot in from 20 yards to give Rovers the lead.

David Nugent tried a long ranger in the dying minutes of the half, but Paul Robinson comfortably saved the 35-yard effort as Blackburn took a one-goal lead into the break.
