Florent Malouda dismisses reports linking him with Birmingham City

Florent Malouda dismisses reports that he was close to signing for Birmingham City recently.

Florent Malouda has dismissed reports suggesting that he was in talks with Birmingham City over a possible move to the Championship club.

The former Chelsea midfielder is currently a free agent following his departure from Trabzonspor last week, and it was claimed on Tuesday that Birmingham had failed with an attempt to secure his services.

However, Malouda has taken to Twitter to reject the rumours that he was close to signing for Lee Clark's side.

Malouda won both the Premier League and Champions League during his six-year spell with Chelsea.
