Birmingham City loan Callum Reilly to Burton Albion

Gary Rowett sends Callum Reilly to his former club Burton Albion on loan from Birmingham City.

Birmingham City midfielder Callum Reilly has joined League Two leaders Burton Albion on loan until the end of the season.

The 21-year-old has made 18 appearances for the Blues this season, but only five of those have been starts - the last of which was in the FA Cup in January.

Gary Rowett has now decided to send the midfielder to his former club so he can earn more first-team experience under Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink.

With 11 games of the season remaining, Burton are two points clear at the top and eight clear of fourth-placed Southend United outside the automatic-promotion places.
