Birmingham extend their unbeaten run to ten games as the Championship's two tightest defences play out a lacklustre goalless draw at St Andrews.

Birmingham City extended their unbeaten run to ten games in a lacklustre draw with Hull City this evening.

Neither side showed much spark over the 90 minutes, with the best chances resulting from set pieces.

The visitors began strongly with Corry Evans firing over before Robert Koren was just beaten to the ball by former Tigers stopper Boaz Myhill.

They then went even closer to a lead in the 19th minute but James Chester saw his header cleared off the line.

Birmingham's one chance of note in the opening period fell to Jonathan Spector but his deflected shot was parried by Vito Mannone.

The Blues came out for the second period and showed much more intent, with Curtis Davies heading Jordan Mutch's corner just over.

However, neither side could break down the other as the Championship's two tightest defences proved their stubbornness.

Both sides drop a place despite the point with Birmingham falling to fifth while Hull drop out of the play-off places to seventh.
