Slaven Bilic to leave Besiktas

Besiktas boss Slaven Bilic confirms that he is to leave the Turkish club this summer.

Besiktas manager Slaven Bilic has confirmed that he will leave the club this summer after two years in charge.

The Croatian, whose final game in charge of the Turkish side was a 2-0 defeat to rivals Galatasaray on Sunday, has been linked with the vacant manager's job at former club West Ham United in the wake of Sam Allardyce's exit from Upton Park.

Bilic has decided to part ways with Besiktas after failing to lead them to Champions League qualification this term.

"I won't be Besiktas' manager next season. I'm proud of what I've done here," The Guardian quotes Bilic as saying.

"As I said before, I am the first one who is going to take responsibility for not winning the league for two years. I have already made my decision."

Bilic has also managed Croatia, Hajduk Split and Lokomotiv Moscow during his career.
