Cellar-dwelling Santa Clara still have their fate in their hands before Saturday's Primeira Liga encounter with Gil Vicente at the Stadium of Sao Miguel.

The competition's bottom side and the club four places above them in the table lost their games last weekend against Estoril Praia and Benfica, respectively.

We say: Santa Clara 1-1 Gil Vicente

Even though Santa Clara have found the back of the net in four of their last six games at the Sao Miguel, their tendency to concede means a low-scoring draw could be in the offing.

Gil Vicente have not scored in three consecutive road games, but that run should end on Saturday.

Boavista play host to Estoril Praia on Saturday evening looking for the win which could catapult the club into the top half of the Primeira Liga standings.

Meanwhile, the visitors are down in 15th spot, but victory could prove pivotal as they bid to maintain or extend their advantage over the bottom three.

We say: Boavista 1-1 Estoril Praia

Both teams can take positives out of their recent results, Boavista more so than Estoril. Nevertheless, with the visitors easing the pressure on themselves last time out, we feel that playing with a greater freedom here will see them earn a share of the spoils.

Benfica vs. Braga (Saturday, 8.30pm)

Braga continue their pursuit of Benfica at the top of the Primeira Liga when they travel to face the league leaders at the Estadio da Luz on Saturday.

With just six points separating the sides and Porto also in the hunt, this is a monumental clash in potentially deciding where the league crown will go.

We say: Benfica 1-0 Braga

Benfica have been edging past opponents and just about getting the job done to cling onto their lead at the top, and it will be a big statement if they can again.

Both sides have match winners, and Braga may be more confident at the moment, but on the big occasions domestically, Benfica often show up.
