Bayern Munich have reportedly been in contact with Ajax as the German champions look to win the race to sign Netherlands defender Matthijs de Ligt at the end of the season.
De Ligt, 18, has made 36 appearances for Ajax during the 2017-18 campaign, and is believed to be the subject of interest from Barcelona, Manchester City and Arsenal.
A number of European clubs are said to have scouted the centre-back this season, but according to Mundo Deportivo, Bayern have officially expressed their interest with the club's sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic contacting Ajax.
The Dutch giants have reportedly accepted that they will be unable to prevent the teenager from leaving this summer, and are determined to hold out for the best possible deal.
De Ligt is said to be reluctant to join Barcelona due to concerns over first-team football.
