Bayern Munich agree Mehdi Benatia fee

Bayern Munich agree a fee with Italian club Roma to sign reported Manchester United and Chelsea target Mehdi Benatia.

Bayern Munich have reached an agreement with Roma to sign Mehdi Benatia.

Speculation earlier today had suggested that a deal was close to completion, with Bayern having seen off reported competition from Manchester United and Chelsea for the defender.

The German club have now confirmed that their Serie A counterparts have accepted their offer, which is believed to be around £24m.

Pending the passing of a medical, Benatia will sign a five-year contract at the Allianz Arena.ID:173262: cacheID:173262:1false2false3false:QQ:: from db desktop :LenBod:restore:1616:
