Robert Lewandowski scored twice as Bayern Munich moved five points clear at the top of the Bundesliga with a 3-0 victory over Mainz 05.
It extended Bayern's winning run to nine games in all competitions as Pep Guardiola watched his side put the pressure on second-placed Borussia Dortmund, who meet SV Darmstadt 98 on Sunday.

Mainz made it difficult for the leaders for much of the first half, with the likes of Lewandowski and Thomas Muller being denied frequent touches in a quiet opening to the match.
Despite their confident start, a mistake from the hosts gifted Bayern an opportunity to take the lead when Pablo De Blasis brought down Kingsley Coman inside the box.
Thomas Muller took on his usual responsibility from the penalty spot, but he appeared to slip on the way to firing his penalty over the crossbar.

Mainz rarely threatened at the other end of the pitch until Yoshinori Muto skipped a couple of challenges before sending a shot just wide of the post.
Bayern then took control again before the interval, with Douglas Costa testing Loris Karius with a powerful strike from long range.
After being kept on the fringes of the game throughout the first half, Lewandowski handed the advantage to Bayern by giving Karius no chance with an emphatic header from a Coman cross to take his Bundesliga tally to 100 goals.
A positive result for Mainz never appeared to be likely after falling behind, and Lewandowski pulled his side further ahead by latching onto an inch-perfect through-ball from substitute Arturo Vidal before rounding Karius to tap home.
Bayern refused to settle for the comfortable lead and the onslaught continued when Costa delivered a cross which allowed Coman to cap off an influential performance with a simple finish from close range.
There was no way back for Mainz in the closing stages as the visitors dominated possession, and they were fortunate not to see Lewandowski score his eighth goal in two games when his miscued effort was charged down by Stefan Bell.
