Robert Lewandowski predicts Borussia Dortmund resurgence

Ex-Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski says that his former club will recover from their early-season woes and challenge his Bayern Munich side for the title.

Robert Lewandowski is confident that his former club Borussia Dortmund will bounce back after a slow start to the Bundesliga season.

Dortmund have failed to find their stride in the post-Lewandowski era following the striker's summer switch to Bayern Munich, as last season's runners-up sit 13th in the table - 10 points adrift of the Bavarians.

Despite the sizeable gap, the Polish hitman is convinced that Jurgen Klopp's side will recover from their early-season woes and challenge Bayern for the title once more.

"They have very bad luck with injured players at the moment," he told Bild. "But they are still a tough competitor for us, I'm sure."

The 26-year-old joined Bayern on a Bosman in the summer after netting 103 times in a four-year spell at Signal Iduna Park.
