Bayern Munich's Pep Guardiola: 'Tough for players to lose Bastian Schweinsteiger'

Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola says that the players will find it "tough" to begin life without Bastian Schweinsteiger, who has moved to Manchester United.

Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola has claimed that the players will find it "tough" to begin life without Bastian Schweinsteiger.

The German World Cup winner called an end to a 17-year career at Bayern by signing for Manchester United in a reported £14m deal on Monday.

"Bastian was a legend at Bayern Munich," Guardiola told reporters. "He spent 17 years playing here and won absolutely everything.

"He is really, really loved by the fans, and the people [at the club]. It is normal that at the beginning it is tough [for the players and fans]."

The 30-year-old midfielder is currently in the United States with his new teammates on a pre-season tour.
