Report: Bayern Munich's Franck Ribery suffers injury setback

A report in Germany claims that Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery is facing another spell on the sidelines with a fresh ankle problem.

Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery has reportedly suffered a setback in his recovery from an ankle injury.

The 32-year-old sustained the problem in March, but for the last two weeks he has been going through a number of running drills in a bid to boost his fitness.

However, according to Bild, the Frenchman pulled up with pain from the same ankle just 17 minutes into a session yesterday afternoon, which forced him to head back into the club's medical centre for assessment.

The club are yet to comment on the situation, but the report adds that Ribery could now face another period on the sidelines.
