Bayern Munich forward Franck Ribery has described his side's 2-0 win at Marseille in the Champions League quarter-finals as a 'perfect result'.
Mario Gomez and Arjen Robben scored two vital away goals for the Bundesliga club during the first leg at the Stade Velodrome.
"This is a very good situation for us," Ribery told Sky Sport Germany. "The result is perfect, it is better than a goalless draw or a 1-0 victory.
"We played with a lot of discipline and we deserved to win."
Bayern host their French opponents in the second leg on Tuesday.
