Jupp Heynckes: 'Javi Martinez ready to return'

Bayern Munich head coach Jupp Heynckes reveals that midfielder Javi Martinez will be available for his side's Champions League clash with Arsenal on Tuesday night.

Bayern Munich head coach Jupp Heynckes believes that midfielder Javi Martinez will have recovered from a toe injury in time for his side's match with Arsenal on Tuesday evening.

Martinez missed Bayern's 2-0 victory over Wolfsburg on Friday night with a bruised toe but Heynckes has revealed that Martinez's recovery "looks really good".

He told reporters: "As things stand at the moment, it looks really good. He is available again.

"We have to see how the injury reacts, but I think it'll be OK."

Martinez has impressed in Germany since his £34m move from Athletic Bilbao during the summer.
