Conference Premier roundup: Barnet net late winner

Sports Mole rounds up Saturday afternoon's action in the Conference Premier as Barnet remain at the top of the table after a dramatic 2-1 win over Alfreton Town.

Barnet have held onto their position at the top of the Conference Premier table after a late winner earned them a 2-1 victory over Alfreton Town.

The bottom-of-the-table side looked like they were about to register their first point of the campaign before Luisma Villa fired home a free kick in added-on time.

Halifax Town kept pace with Barnet after a Ross Dyer goal 18 minutes from time earned the Shaymen a 1-0 triumph over Aldershot Town.

Two goals from Dean Morgan has helped Woking to a 3-1 victory over Lincoln City, while Kidderminster Harriers have moved up to fourth place with a 2-1 win over Gateshead.

A last-minute own goal from Dominic Collins has earned Eastleigh a 2-1 victory over Southport, with Wrexham keeping pace with the top six sides thanks to a Louis Moult goal at Forest Green Rovers.

Grimsby Town made inroads up the league standings with a comfortable win over Welling United, while Torquay United suggested that they may have recovered from a slow start to the season by thrashing Nuneaton Town by a 4-0 scoreline.

Braintree Town condemned Bristol Rovers to a 2-0 defeat to move into the top half of the table, but Macclesfield Town slipped down the division after suffering their first loss of the season at Chester FC.

Two goals from Jake Reid helped Dover Athletic thrash AFC Telford United to leave the Shropshire side still waiting for their first win of the season, while Altrincham recorded just their second triumph of the campaign after edging out Dartford.
