A report claims that Watford are to make a move for former Everton winger Gerard Deulofeu, who is valued at £10.5m by Barcelona.

Barcelona winger Gerard Deulofeu could be offered a Premier League return as Watford are interested in taking him on loan, according to a report.

The 23-year-old impressed during a two-year spell with Everton and was re-signed by Barca last summer, only for his development to be stunted by a lack of minutes.

Barca boss Ernesto Valverde is understood to be happy to let Deulofeu move on, with Philippe Coutinho joining this month and Ousmane Dembele recovering from a long-term layoff.

Serie A pair Roma and Inter Milan have both shown an interest, but Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo suggests that Watford will attempt to lure him to Vicarage Road.

Deulofeu has not started a La Liga match since October, though Barca are still expected to demand a fee of £10.5m for his signature.
