Report: Barcelona end Marquinhos pursuit

A report claims that Barcelona have ended their long pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos.

Barcelona have reportedly ended their pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos.

It had been claimed that the Brazilian was Barcelona's number one centre-back target this summer, with a figure in the region of £30m believed to be on the table.

However, according to Sport, PSG have told the Spanish outfit that the defender is not for sale under any circumstances, forcing Barcelona to switch to other options.

Marquinhos, 20, joined PSG from Roma in 2013.
