Brazilian starlet Neymar signs a five-year contract with Catalan giants Barcelona ahead of his reported £30m move, which will be made official on June 30.

Neymar has made his reported £30m switch from Santos to Barcelona official by signing a five-year contract with the Spanish giants.

The 21-year-old starlet has announced his decision to move to the Camp Nou, rejecting an offer from their fierce rivals Real Madrid in the process, following the Confederations Cup, which finishes on June 30.

He said farewell to Santos after their season-opening draw with Flamengo on Sunday and tweeted the following message to the fans of his boyhood club: "Here it ends this wonderful passage with a special club".

Neymar has made 32 full international appearances for Brazil, scoring 20 goals since debuting in 2010.
