Monaco indicate that they may be interested in Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye.

Monaco CEO Vadim Vasilyev has hinted that Yohan Cabaye and Eric Abidal are the next targets for the Monte Carlo-based outfit.

James Rodriguez, Joao Moutinho and Radamel Falcao are among the big-name signings already made by owner Dmitry Rybolovlev, and Magpies midfielder Cayabe is now believed to be the focus of attention. Meanwhile, Abidal is a free agent after leaving Barcelona.

"Yohan Cabaye? He is an exciting player," Vasilyev told L'Equipe. "And Abidal is a strong player. If he could come back to Le Championnat, everyone would be delighted."

Cabaye is also believed to have caught the attention of Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.
