Juventus director: 'Paul Pogba not for sale amid Barcelona interest'

Juventus general director Giuseppe Marotta insists that Paul Pogba is "not for sale" amid continued interest from Barcelona.

Juventus general director Giuseppe Marotta has again insisted that Paul Pogba is "not for sale" as speculation continues to link the Frenchman with a move to Barcelona.

Earlier this month, Barca presidential candidate Joan Laporta claimed that the Spanish club would sign Pogba if he were elected president.

The midfielder's agent Mino Raiola has backed Laporta, but Marotta reiterated that Juve do not want to sell Pogba, who has four years left on his contract with the Serie A side.

"Whoever is interested in the player needs to talk to Juventus and not with Mino Raiola, who is nonetheless [Pogba's] agent," PA quotes Marotta as saying.

"But the player is not for sale."

If Barca were to sign Pogba, 22, this summer, he would not be able to play for them until January 2016 because of a transfer ban imposed by FIFA for breaching rules on the transfer of under-age players.

Chelsea, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be interested in signing the former Manchester United man.
