Everton 'eyeing Gerard Deulofeu loan extension'

Everton could reportedly secure the services of Gerard Deulofeu for another season if they qualify for the Champions League.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez is planning to lodge a request with Barcelona to take Gerard Deulofeu on loan for a second season, according to a report.

The young Spaniard's future at Goodison Park hinges on whether the Blues secure Champions League football this term, The Mirror reports.

Barcelona are said to be open to the possibility of Deulofeu gaining European experience at Everton, while the Premier League outfit are believed to be willing to foot 100% of his wage bill for another season.

However, the La Liga giants could request that the player return should they fail to overturn a two-window transfer ban imposed by UEFA last week.
