Gerard Deulofeu wants Barcelona chance after Everton loan

Gerard Deulofeu insists that he wants to break into the Barcelona first team after his season-long loan spell at Everton.

Gerard Deulofeu has insisted that he wants to play for Barcelona for a "number of years" after his season-long loan stint at Everton.

The Spain Under-21 international moved to Goodison Park in the summer in a bid to play more first-team football.

Despite feeling like he is adapting to the Premier League, the 19-year-old has admitted that he wants to return to Camp Nou.

"My objective is to improve as a player and to go back to Barcelona to play for the maximum number of years possible," Deulofeu told Esports Xarxa Radio.

"Now, I am very calm about my adaptation to the Premier League. Game by game, I fulfil my mission. I am young and I need to work every day to obtain my targets."

Deulofeu has made seven appearances off the bench for the Toffees so far this season, but is yet to make a Premier League start.
