Barcelona 'eye Daniele Rugani move'

Barcelona consider a January approach for Juventus defender Daniele Rugani, according to a report.

Barcelona are reportedly considering a January approach for Juventus defender Daniele Rugani.

Rugani has made 72 appearances for Juventus since debuting for the Italian giants in 2013, but the 24-year-old has struggled for regular action during the 2018-19 campaign.

Indeed, the Italian has only made three Serie A appearances and just five in total this season.

Barcelona are said to be in the market for a new centre-back due to Samuel Umtiti's injury problems, and according to Diario Sport, Rugani has emerged as a potential target.

The report claims that the seven-time international is open to a move away from Turin, with Barcelona keen to secure an initial loan deal, which could include the option of a permanent transfer at the end of the season.

Rugani has won three Serie A titles and three Coppa Italia crowns during his time at Juventus.
