Agent denies Arda Turan, Barcelona link

The agent of Atletico Madrid midfielder Arda Turan has denied that Barcelona have made contact over a move for his client.

It had been claimed that the Catalan outfit were preparing to activate Turan's release clause, which currently stands in the region of £33m.

However, Turan's representative Ahmet Bulut has quelled such talk.

"What has been published and has been put in my mouth is false. Barca have not contacted me about Arda and the player is happy at Atletico," Bulut was quoted as saying in Mundo Deportivo.

Turan has a contract with Atletico until 2017.
