Carlos Puyol has claimed that Barcelona are paying no attention to their critics this season.
The 36-year-old represented the Catalan outfit as a player between 1995 and 2014, before taking on the position of assistant to the director of football Andoni Zubizarreta in the summer.
Barca have lost two of their last three league games and been criticised for some under-par performances, but Puyol is confident that the team will bounce back.
"Everything seems easier from the outside. Because of that, a lot of people criticise and think 'oh, how could he miss that!'. That's happened to me too. But those of us who have been players know how difficult it is," Puyol said at the Night of the Stars of Catalan Football gala in Barcelona on Tuesday.
Puyol won six league titles and three Champions League trophies with Barca.
