Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola confirms end-of-season departure

Pep Guardiola reportedly confirms that he will leave Barcelona after four years in charge of the Spanish giants.

Pep Guardiola has reportedly called time on his illustrious career with Barcelona and will step down from his post at the end of the season.

The 41-year-old is believed to have confirmed that he will depart the Nou Camp when the season comes to an end after discussing his intentions with the Barcelona hierarchy yesterday.

It is understood that the former midfielder spent last night considering his options and has come to the conclusion this morning that the intensity and pressure of managing the highly-regarded club has become too much for him.

It has been reported that Guardiola informed his team this morning that he will no longer lead the side to future glory.

The successful manager, who has won two three league titles and two Champions League trophies with Barca, is expected to take a sabbatical before taking on a new venture.
