Barcelona vice president Javier Faus has said that he expects Pep Guardiola to decide his future "in a couple of weeks".
The coach has yet to agree to a new contract with the Catalan giants, which has increased speculation regarding his future.
It has been rumoured that the former Barcelona club captain wants to manage in another league, as well as wanting to take a year-long sabbatical from the game.
Although speculation has always been fuelled by Guardiola's insistence on short-term contracts, the 41-year-old coach is expected to stay at the Nou Camp.
"We want Pep to stay here for many years," said Faus.
"We will know his decision in a couple of weeks,
"We hope his response will be positive."
Guardiola took over as manager of Barcelona in 2008.
