Luis Enrique: 'Lionel Messi not our only piece of art'

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique plays down two-goal Lionel Messi's impact in the 3-0 Champions League win over Bayern Munich, stressing that it was a team effort.

Barcelona coach Luis Enrique has revealed that he is not surprised by anything Lionel Messi does anymore, following his heroics in tonight's 3-0 win over Bayern Munich.

The Catalans placed one foot in the final of the Champions League thanks to a Messi-inspired blitz in the final 13 minutes at Camp Nou.

The Argentine fired past Manuel Neuer at his near post on 77 minutes before chipping him shortly after to double the hosts' lead, with Neymar netting a third late on.

However, Enrique was keen to play down the 27-year-old's impact, insisting that Messi is not the "only piece of art at Barca".

"Guardiola's tactics were according to his style, his team and his philosophy," he told reporters. "And we played the same as we always do.

"Messi no longer surprises me. He has ambition and hunger, but I would not say Messi is the only piece of art at Barca. The work of the whole team was incredible on top of the fact we didn't concede any goals."

The return leg at the Allianz Arena takes place on Tuesday night.
