Two Konstantin Rausch goals give Hannover a 2-0 win away to Augsburg.

Konstantin Rausch scored two second-half goals as Hannover claimed all three points away to Augsburg.

Augsburg started the stronger side with both Daniel Baier and Andre Hahn missing the target with shots inside the opening 10 minutes.

The hosts' shooting remained unimpressive for the remainder of the first half as Jan-Ingwer Callsen-Bracker and Ji Dong-Won also could not work Ron-Robert Zieler in the away goal.

The hosts were made to pay for their profligacy 15 minutes into the second half as Konstantin Rausch fired in to give Hannover the lead.

Augsburg piled forward again but the Hannover defence was equal to everything they could throw at them.

Instead, Rausch grabbed his second late on to seal the points for Hannover.
