Report: Wolverhampton Wanderers to sign Diogo Jota on loan from Atletico Madrid

Versatile Atletico Madrid attacker Diogo Jota is to become Wolverhampton Wanderers' latest summer signing, according to a report.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are closing in on another high-profile capture after reportedly agreeing a deal to sign Diogo Jota from Atletico Madrid on loan.

The attacking midfielder spent time at Porto last season, where he played under Wolves' recently-appointed manager Nuno Espirito Santo.

According to freelance journalist Tim Nash, Santo is close to reuniting with the versatile attacker as he is currently in England undergoing a medical.

Jota, who has been capped by Portugal at various age-grade levels up to the Under-23s, scored eight goals in 27 games for Porto.

Ruben Vinagre this week became the latest player to join Wanderers, signing on loan until the end of the season after so far failing to break into AS Monaco's first team.
