Raul Jimenez "very happy" with Atletico debut

Atletico Madrid forward Raul Jimenez says that he was "very happy to debut" in Saturday's 2-0 victory over Sampdoria.

Raul Jimenez has revealed his delight after making his Atletico Madrid debut in Saturday's 2-0 victory over Sampdoria.

The Mexican completed his move from Club America towards the end of last week and was cleared to make his first appearance for the capital outfit in their pre-season fixture yesterday.

"I'm very happy to debut with the team and continue doing things right for what's coming," he told the club's official website.

Saul Niguez and Jose Gimenez scored the goals for Atletico against their Serie A opponents.
