Koke: 'Our style is the same'

Spain midfielder Koke insists that La Roja's style of football will not change despite a disappointing World Cup.

Spain midfielder Koke has insisted that La Roja's style will remain the same despite their disappointing showing at the 2014 World Cup.

Vicente del Bosque's side failed to make it out of the group stages in Brazil, but they opened their Euro 2016 qualification campaign with a 5-1 win over Macedonia last night.

"I think we need to be calm. We need to be a good group first and foremost, then come and play as a group," the Atletico Madrid midfielder told reporters.

"Style change? What's happened is that other players have come in, this is a different story. But the team will always have our philosophy of play and not give up the ball."

Spain are the current European champions, having won the competition in 2012.
