Report: Aston Villa plan second Asmir Begovic bid

Aston Villa reportedly consider a second bid for Stoke City keeper Asmir Begovic.

Aston Villa are reportedly lining up a second bid for Asmir Begovic, having had an initial offer of around £5m turned down.

The Bosnian international has regularly been linked with both Manchester United and Chelsea in recent weeks.

However, the Daily Star claims that Villa are ready to follow up their initial offer with a second bid.

It is thought that Stoke value Begovic at around £10m, but that the Villans' opening bid was only about half that amount.

Begovic's time at the Britannia Stadium could be nearing an end, with the Bosnian in the final 12 months of his contract and reportedly with little sign of agreeing a fresh deal.
