Aston Villa are reportedly planning to move for Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie when the January transfer window opens for business.
The 23-year-old was strongly linked with a move away from the Old Lady over the summer, but the deadline passed with the United States international remaining in Turin.
According to The Sun, Villa are admirers of the central midfielder and will make contact with Juventus during the winter transfer window to discuss a possible deal.
The report claims that McKennie has been advised to find a new club, as he is not seen as a part of his current side's plans moving forward.
The American only joined Juventus from Schalke 04 last summer and still has four years left to run on his contract with Massimiliano Allegri's side.
Villa boosted their squad over the summer with the arrivals of Danny Ings, Leon Bailey, Axel Tuanzebe, Ashley Young and Emiliano Buendia, while Jack Grealish moved on to Manchester City.
