Gabriel Agbonlahor not getting carried away by Aston Villa start

Aston Villa forward Gabriel Agbonlahor calls on his teammates to remain focused following their strong start to the new Premier League season.

Aston Villa forward Gabriel Agbonlahor has warned his teammates not to get carried away by their strong start to the season.

The Villans are currently in second place in the Premier League table after earning three wins and a draw from their opening four matches.

Despite having scored the decisive goal during the team's 1-0 victory at Liverpool on Saturday, Agbonlahor admits that Villa still have a lot of work to do between now and the end of the campaign.

"It's only four games gone. We've got 34 to go," he told the club's official website. "We don't want to get too carried away and shoot ourselves in the foot.

"We're not going to get ahead of ourselves because we are in the top three or four places at the moment. It's a 38-game season and we know we're going to have some ups and downs this season."

Villa return to action this Saturday when they entertain Arsenal in the Premier League.
