Montpellier HSC are still waiting for their first ever league win over Monaco after the two sides played out a goalless draw in Ligue 1 this evening.

If any side looked more threatening it was Montpellier, but Monaco came to life shortly before the interval and thought they had taken the lead when Layvin Kurzawa turned home, but he was flagged offside.
Montpellier could have gone in front in the 52nd minute when they won a penalty following Nabil Dirar's foul on Bryan Dabo, but Lucas Barrios put his spot kick well over the crossbar.
The match continued at a slow pace, with chances hard to come by. Bernardo Silva could have won it for Monaco, but he fired straight at Geoffrey Jourdren 10 minutes from time.
Fourth-placed Monaco miss out on the chance to move level on points with Marseille in the Champions League places, while Montpellier stay seventh.
