Xavi calls again for the transfer of Cesc Fabregas to Barcelona.

Barcelona midfielder Xavi has again called for the transfer of Cesc Fabregas.

Xavi, 31, was recently branded "disrespectful" by Gunners boss Arsene Wenger after he claimed that the Arsenal captain was "suffering" over the transfer speculation.

"Cesc is only 24 and his arrival would ensure the current cycle of Barca continues to work”, Xavi told German newspaper Suddeutschzeitung.

Arsenal have valued their skipper at £40m, but Barcelona have so far failed to meet the asking price with two bids.

Fabregas, who left the Spanish champions at the age of 16, is reported to be keen on a move back to the Nou Camp.
