Arsene Wenger: 'Nothing to add on Alexis Sanchez'

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger insists that there is "nothing more to add" on Alexis Sanchez, whose long-term future at the Emirates Stadium remains up in the air.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has opted to dismiss further speculation linking Alexis Sanchez with a move to the Chinese Super League.

It has been reported by The Sun that Sanchez will be offered £500,000 per week to join Hebei China Fortune - who are managed by Manuel Pellegrini - but Wenger has said that he wants to focus on his team's clash with Manchester City at the weekend.

The Frenchman told reporters: "If people want to go to China, they go to China. I have completely different worries today ahead of the City game.

"I think I closed that subject, there is nothing more to add."

Sanchez is known to have just 18 months remaining on his existing deal, but club general secretary David Miles said earlier this week that contract negotiations were "looking pretty good".
