Arsene Wenger hints at a loan move for Arsenal legend Thierry Henry.

Arsene Wenger has refused to rule out a loan move for former striker Thierry Henry during the January transfer window.

Gunners boss Wenger, is currently short of cover for Robin van Persie and will also lose Marouane Chamakh to the African Cup of Nations.

Despite claims that he has not explored a move for the New York Red Bulls star, reports suggest Wenger will act should van Persie suffer an injury over the festive period.

Wenger admitted Henry was still good enough to play in the Premier League but also said: "At the moment, Thierry Henry just practices with us. I haven't even investigated that."

Henry scored 226 times during his time with the North London club between 1999 and 2007.
