A report claims that Danny Welbeck is not close to agreeing a new deal with Arsenal and is now likely to join Aaron Ramsey in leaving the club next summer.

Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck will reportedly follow teammate Aaron Ramsey out of the Emirates Stadium exit door on a free transfer at the end of the season.

The Gunners have allowed the 27-year-old's contract to enter its final year, mirroring the situation they find themselves in with midfielder Ramsey.

According to The Mirror, an agreement on a new deal is still not close and the England international is now expected to join another club next summer.

Welbeck was linked with Galatasaray in August and is able to speak to the Turkish giants, and any other interested foreign suitors, from January.

The Manchester United academy product has scored four goals so far this season, but he has yet to start a Premier League game under Unai Emery.
